Accessibility Statement
Updated August 18, 2026
Our commitment
Matto Espresso is committed to making this website accessible to the broadest possible audience, including people with disabilities.
We work to improve the experience over time and use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA as our accessibility target.
Conformance status
WCAG defines testable requirements at Levels A, AA, and AAA. We aim to follow WCAG 2.1 Level AA, but we have not completed a formal third-party conformance audit and do not claim full conformance.
Measures we take
The current Matto website includes the following accessibility measures:
- Semantic structure: Pages use semantic landmarks, a logical heading hierarchy, and labels for navigation and interactive controls.
- Keyboard access: Visitors can move through links and controls by keyboard. The mobile menu manages focus and can be closed with the Escape key.
- Skip navigation and visible focus: A skip link lets keyboard users move directly to the main content, and interactive elements display a visible focus indicator.
- Text alternatives: Informative images include text alternatives, while decorative images are hidden from assistive technology.
- Reduced-motion preference: Smooth scrolling and the locations map transition are disabled when a visitor enables the reduced-motion preference in their device or browser.
- Responsive presentation: Content reflows for desktop and mobile screens without requiring a separate accessibility interface.
Technical compatibility
The website relies on HTML, CSS, JavaScript, WAI-ARIA, and SVG. It is designed for current versions of major browsers and common assistive technologies, although the exact experience may vary by device and software combination.
